About Bella.

I bridge the worlds of business and diplomacy, with a 20-year career in the private sector holding senior strategic marketing roles and 7 years in the public sector representing New Zealand as trade advisor and Consul General. I’ve assisted numerous exporters to scale, grow and commercialise in Australia, and developed meaningful partnerships at the highest levels. This brings a unique and complimentary set of skills: creativity, commerciality, diplomacy and empathetic leadership.

Seven years ago, I moved into the public sector and now serve New Zealand’s trade and diplomatic interests in Victoria as Consul General and Trade Commissioner. In this role, I regularly connect New Zealand and Australian business leaders, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and key stakeholders, facilitating meaningful partnerships and unlocking growth opportunities across the Tasman. I currently lead a team of senior advisors supporting exporters in technology, agribusiness, food & beverage, and consumer goods. I’m a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an Executive Committee Member of the Consular Corps Melbourne, Chair of the Sandro Demaio Foundation and previously on the board of the iconic Prahran Market.

Creative, entrepreneurial and passionate about working in an action-focused environment, Bella's favourite projects have often been the most challenging, collaborative, fast-paced, 'can't be done' assignments. She's an advocate for the creation of sustainable, unique and customer-centric brands, but also realistic and commercial.

Bella is Chair of the Sandro Demaio Foundation, Executive Committee Member of the Melbourne Consular Corps, and previously Non-executive Director for iconic Melbourne community asset, the Prahran Market.
